J' ai eu la chance de me joindre à un Club de randonnée pédestre soit celui DES AMIS DE LA NATURE. Nous devions faire le tour du Beaufortin en 7 jours. Le départ fut excellent et une
superbe journée ensoleillée...la vue du Mont-Blanc est incroyable et les paysages à couper le souffle...Regarder par vous même les belles photos...Dès le 2e jour, la température se gâte un
peu...les nuages et le brouillard apparaissent...suivi par de la pluie très fine...pas assez pour nous arrêter !!! Par contre le mercredi en soirée soit le 8 août 2007...la neige
nous surprend...Au réveil...un mélange de pluie et de neige continue...que faire ??? Notre chef de groupe Didier décide de poursuivre notre expédition selon l' itinéraire régulier
afin d' atteindre le refuge réservé pour le soir...petit problème...brouillard, neige abondante rende le sentier très difficile...plus de 30 cm de neige ( 1 pied Canadien)...autour de midi nous
devons rebrousser chemin incapable de voir le sentier et le col de la montagne...après une période d' attende et de réflexion, on décide d' arrêter notre randonnée car la température ne s'
annonce pas très clémente pour les prochains jours...On retourne à la case départ afin de célébrer en groupe ces 4 belles journées car malgré tout, ce fut pour moi une expérience inoubliable...à
la fois du côté humain, chaleureux et accueillant et accompagné de paysages incroyables...Un gros merci à tous les membres du groupe...vous êtes vraiment spécial et je ne vous oublierai pas de
sitôt...Suite à cette expérience, nous avons eu des repas de famille chez les parents de Sylvie soit Pierre et Madeleine (Mado) Darmez...une excellente fondue au fromage...met typiquement
Français avec du super bon fromage CHEDDAR !!! Non on s' excuse...le fromage était du Comté...excellent fromage de la région...pas mal plus de goût que le cheddar canadien...Nous avons également
manger chez Valdi (fille de Sylvie) et d' avoir eu l' occasion de rencontrer et jouer avec le petit Vincent qui a 2 ans... Merci pour les nombreux très bon repas avec Sylvie et
Jean-Luc! Merci Sylvie pour ta créativité et ta rapidité dans la prépararion des repas.
Nous avons assisté également à 2 fêtes de village...voir reportage sur le site: www.emotionjura.com
Un gros merci à Jean-Luc et Sylvie qui nous on fait visiter la ville d'Arbois, une belle petite ville touristique de vin du Bas-Jura...double dégustation de vins blanc, jaune et rouge du Jura et
de chocolat noir (Maître Chocolatier de la famille Hirsinger...Sylvie et Edouard)... ce fut délicieux. Nous avons également mangé dans un excellent restaurant de la ville soit La
Balance ...gracieuseté de Jean-Luc...Un gros MERCI...
Nous quittons le Jura lundi matin le 20 août 2007 pour Marseille sur la côte d'Azur en route vers Toulouse, Bayonne et St-Jean-Pied-de-Port (départ du pélérinage de Compostelle au
début de septembre, 800 kilomètres).
Gros,Gros merci à tous ceux et celles qui nous ont accueillis et ont rendus notre séjour en France fort agréable sans oublier Sylvie et Jean-Luc qui nous ont si bien accueillis
et hébergés pendant plusieurs jours ainsi pour toutes les visites très intéressantes, marches, courses,randonnées, et vélo. Merci de nous visiter et à la prochaine...vos commentaires sont

Gilles F. had a great start in his 7 days hiking the Beaufortin in the Alphes mountains on Sunday August 5th,2007. Beautiful sunny day with a great view of the mountain especially
Mont-Blanc the highest mountain(4813 mètres) in the region.The next day the temperature started to change, clouds appeared followed by a very fine rain which didn't stop them. Fog started to
appear also. By Wednesday night it started to snow. Thursday morning rain and snow yet the leader Didier decided to move on any way to reach the inn that night. The temperature started to make
the hiking difficult, snow and fog made it more and more difficult to see the trail and the top of the mountains. With 30 cm of snow(one foot ), fog and knowing that the weather forecast
for the next few days was not any better at noon we decided to turn back and go back to the Inn where we started on Sunday. We neverless felt llike celebrating the 4 days together that
evening. For all of us and for me especially being my first experience of this kind.. What a memorable human experience. I very much appreciated the welcome, the warmth and the fun part
with the group.Thank you to all 12 of you, I will never forget this wonderful experience.
This great experience was followed with a great meal with Sylvie`s parents and Jean-Luc`s mom. A cheese fondue with very special Comté French cheese. Wow! what a treat!!! We then had
another great meal with Valdi, Sylvie`s daugther where we also met , enjoyed and played with little 2 year old Vincent. We also had many wonderful meals with Sylvie and Jean-Luc.
We also had the opportunity to attend 2 "fêtes du village" ;rural town celebrations see the web cite above.
A very special THANK YOU to Jean-Lluc and Sylvie that brought us to the visits a very pretty touristic little wine city, Arbois, of the Bas-Jura where we tasted red ,white and yellow
wine of the Jura followed by tasting of 10 different kind of dark chocolate. The chocolate was made by a very famous Hirsinger family. Jean-Luc also brought us to a very famous
restaurant of that city for Supper. WOW ! again, what a restaurant!! A very special thank you Jean-Luc!
We are leaving the Jura on Monday August 20 for Marseille on La côte d'Azur, southern France, another very warm and famous city for holidays on our way to Toulouse; Bayonne and
St-Jean-pied-de-Port where we will begin our compostella pilgrimage of 800 kilometres beginning of September...after all the walking , cycling and hiking with did in France, do not worry,
we are ready for this fantastic challenge...before leaving on Sunday, we are going for a brunch Les Louvières...another very famous restaurant own by Sol Desharnais from
